Text: Galatians 5:16-18, 25
Introduction: How active is the Holy Spirit in your life today? What does he mean to you personally? Do you have all of him and does He have all of you? Are you walking and living in the Spirit each day?
Today, we are going to look at the activity of the Holy Spirit in the life of the Christian at salvation and then the continuing work of the Holy Spirit after salvation.
AT SALVATION:
1. He regenerates you. (John 3:3-8)
2. He indwells in you. (John 14:17
3. He baptizes you. (Matthew 3:11, Mark 1:8, Luke 3:16, John 1:33, Acts 1:5, 11:16)
4. He seals you, the believer as His child. (Ephesians 1:13, 4:30)
AFTER SALVATION:
1. He fills you. (Ephesians 5:18)
2. He guides you through out life. (Galatians 5:16, 25)
3. He empowers you against the worldly ideas.. (Romans 8:13, Galatians 5:17)
4. He teaches you. (John 14:26, 16:3)
CONCLUSION:
We as Christians are cautioned not to....
1. Grieve the Holy Spirit. (Ephesians 4:30
2. Tempt the Holy Spirit. (Acts 5:9)
3. Quench the Holy Spirit. (1Thessolians 5:19-20)
4. Insult the Holy Spirit. (Hebrews 10:29)
5. resist the Holy Spirit. (Acts 7:51)
* What do you need Him to do for you today?
* Do you need "REGENERATION"?
* Do you need Him to "FILL" you or to :BAPTIZE" you?
* Do you need Him to "GUIDE" you or "TEACH" you?
IF you said yes to any of these...get on your knees, He "IS" waiting for you!
